AC Photonics Acquires Assets of Fiberconn Technology, Inc.

Santa Clara, CA – September 16, 2004 – AC Photonics, Inc. an established networking components and solutions manufacturing company for 10 years has announced their purchase of the entire assets of Sunnyvale, Ca. based Fiberconn Technology, Inc. (FTI). FTI specializes in designing and manufacturing highly reliable, very flat and very low PDL (0.02dB typ.) fused fiberoptic product solutions for access, metro, long haul and EDFA systems. Their products, which are Telcordia GR 1209/1221 compliant, have been well received by Tier 1 customers.

This acquisition further enhances AC’s leadership as a main components manufacturer and supplier, strengthening its ties with several Tier 1 customers. It also illustrates AC's strategy to expand its product portfolio to serve Telecom, Datacom and the Test & Measurement market segments.
